At Country Tails, each dog is given individual attention, care and are exercised several times a day – inside or out depending on the weather. We encourage you to bring personal items such as favourite toy or dog bed to make your pet’s stay as enjoyable as possible. Suite sizes vary in order to accommodate different dog breeds.
We recommend you provide us with your pet’s regular food for the length of your pet’s stay to ensure an easy and comfortable transition. We will supply the bowls.

Expert Care:
Our staff has over 20 years of experience in pet care are trained with everything from pet first aid to veterinary technician. This should relieve any anxiety if any with leaving your pet with us and also ensures your pet is in very capable hands
Budget:
Pet boarding/sitting can get pricy. Our rates are basically all inclusive and extremely competitive. We do not charge extra for services such as the administration of medicines, raw diets, treats, extra play time to name a few. Our only additional charges would be if you would like to use our pick up and/or delivery service, baths/nails and if you want to use our food.
Social Stimulation and exercise:
During your pets stay with us, they will enjoy a minimum of 3 hours of play time per day (unless they are on limited exercise). We have large fenced play areas that can accommodate several dogs together or on their own where they will have ample room to run and socialize either together or through the fencing. It is not uncommon that your pet will sleep for a couple of days when they return home. All pets get equal attention and play time.
Medication:
If your pet requires medication, whether it pills, needle, drops, cream our staff is trained to administer them at no extra cost.
Security:
There is always someone on site 24/7 to ensure the safety and protection of your pet.
Our Rates
Please note prices are by the size of the suite, not the size of the dog. Various payment options and discounts are available.
Small Suite: $28/night
(Bichon/Shih-Tzu, Havanese, Chihuahua, etc.)
Only one dog per small kennel
Medium Suite: $33/night
(Shiba Inu, Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, etc.)
Large Suite: $37/night
(Labs, Rottweiler, Mastiff, Husky, Border Collie, etc.)
House Food
Country Tails carries our house dog food at the cost of $1 per cup. However, Country Tails recommends that pet owners provide their pet’s existing food. It helps your pet to maintain a stable diet and reduces digestive upset and stress.
Baths
Depending on the size of your dog, we charge the following amounts for bathing your canine:
Small/Medium Dogs:
Single Coat: $20
Double Coat: $25
Rinse: $15
Large Dogs
Single Coat: $25
Double Coat: $30
Rinse: $15
Please Note
All dogs require current vaccinations (rabies and DAPP (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus)). They must also have the bordetella vaccination for kennel cough which must be administered at least 7 days prior to boarding. Please provide proof of vaccination. Baths are based on availability. We recommend every dog gets flea treatment and deworming. Fill out our profile sheet to provide further information about your dog.
First time bookings require a deposit of 50% of visit’s total price at time of booking (in full if less than $50.00). Clients must give 30 days’ notice or deposit is non-refundable.
We do accept unaltered pets. Large unaltered pets will not be socialized with others.
